Film: A Sisters’ Tale
Over the course of seven years, director Leila Amini follows her sister Nasreen, who dreams of becoming a singer in Tehran, where women are forbidden from singing in public. The film offers a rare insight into Nasreen’s life – a story of dreams, resistance, and sisterhood as she navigates between personal ambitions and the societal restrictions imposed upon her.
A Sisters’ Tale portrays life as a woman in Iran, where a rich inner world is constrained by a challenging external reality. Through a story of sisterhood, courage, dilemmas, and determination, the film captures a woman’s pursuit of freedom and happiness – told through unfiltered moments that only a sister’s eye could truly capture. .
Concert: DAYYANI
Following the film, we invite you to an exclusive intimate concert with DAYYANI, who blends electronic beats with pop and Middle Eastern influences to create a unique soundscape. With performances at Roskilde Festival, SPOT, and Reeperbahn Festival, as well as the release of her debut album Recipe For Love (2024), DAYYANI has established herself as one of the most exciting voices on the Danish music scene.
